I analyzed previous editions of the Q: Journal alongside modern academic and literary publications to determine visual standards, typographic placement, and structural margins required for printing. I then surveyed campus locations at key times of day to capture high-impact photography that would resonate with the university community while serving as a strong background for publication overlay.
The project produced two distinct print-ready cover variations utilizing original campus photography, custom color grading, and editorial type lockups. Deliverables included the full-bleed 2nd Place winning design alongside an alternate framed composition featuring a custom calligraphic watermark.
